Why Violence Against Women is a Men’s Issue

Jackson Katz In Conversation With Hannah MacInnes

Not all men are part of the problem of gender-based violence. But all men can be part of the solution. Activist Jackson Katz reveals practical tips for creating a safer society for everyone.

Why have we failed so badly to end men’s violence against women?

What can we actually do about it?

It’s time for a new approach, and here to share that approach is pioneering educator, expert scholar and activist Jackson Katz. With thirty years of experience training people around the world on gender based activism, Katz joins us to reveal that although not all men are part of the problem, every man can – and should – be part of the solution.

Revealing indispensable everyday tools that will help men from all walks of life become part of the solution to gender-based violence, Katz will show us how to intervene in incidents, challenge violence, and ensure that those we love stay safe. How should you respond when a friend or colleague makes a misogynistic comment? How can you become a role model for boys and men who need positive leadership in their lives?

With violence against women and girls having been deemed a national emergency, this is essential viewing for everyone who wants to make society safe.
