In this wildly entertaining presentation, neuroscientist Timothy Marzullo will share his insights into the mystery of your brain and show you experiments that you can do in your own home.

The workings of the brain are mysterious: What are neural signals? What do they mean? How do our senses really sense? How does our brain control our movements? What happens when we meditate?

Techniques to record signals from living brains were once thought to be the realm of advanced university labs… but not anymore. Neuroscientist Tim Marzullo and his collaborator Greg Gage have developed neuroscientific experiments that you can perform in the comfort of your living room. In this livestream event, Tim will show you how you can record electrical signals from earthworms, cockroaches – and your own nervous system.

If you’ve ever wanted to know how fast signals travel down a neuron, whether you can enhance memories during sleep, how long it takes the brain to make a decision, or how brain stimulators ‘write’ to the nervous system, Tim is here to show you how to find the answer.
