How Women Can Get the Success They Deserve

Alison Fragale In Conversation With Hannah MacInnes

Behavioural scientist Alison Fragale reveals a practical playbook for women to advance in any workplace, with tips, tricks, and strategies to help secure that elusive corner office.

With warmth, humour, and powerful personal stories, [Alison] provides women with actionable advice for achieving greater success in the workplace.’ – Sheryl Sandberg, Bestselling Author of Lean In

How do you balance kindness and competence in the workplace? How can you get the success you deserve, earn credit for your accomplishments, and navigate complex office politics without antagonising your colleagues?

Over decades of research, behavioural scientist Alison Fragale encountered these recurring questions from high-powered and early-career women alike, determining that many women’s workplace issues boil down to the perception of others. No degree, title, or paycheque will raise a woman’s workplace stature unless it also affects how other people respect and regard her.

Acknowledging this roadblock, Fragale will pull back the curtain on how women can change how others see them by developing their standing as a “likeable badass.” By cultivating perceptions of warmth and assertiveness, women can achieve the kind of reputation that leads to a seat at the table and a fulfilling career path.

In this livestream In Conversation event, Alison joins us to reveal life hacks rooted in behavioural science, weaving together rigorous research with actionable advice and impactful stories from a diverse array of women. This event is for women of all stripes, as well as their allies, who want evidence-based, practical strategies for success.
