Extraordinary Stories of Everyday Lives

Dan Walker in conversation with Hannah MacInnes

We are living through fractured and disjointed times, experiencing an age of anxiety, fearfulness and uncertainty. BBC Breakfast host Dan Walker joins us with the antidote.

In the course of his professional life, BBC broadcaster Dan Walker has encountered a stream of remarkable people with intriguing and uplifting stories that should be told.

In conversation with journalist and broadcaster Hannah MacInnes, he will recount these wonderful and heart-warming stories — exploring themes such as deprivation, inequality, loneliness and mental health, in the process highlighting and celebrating significant pockets of truly heartening altruism, benevolence and self-sacrifice, typified by a deep concern for others and a million random acts of kindness.

Shining a light on the kindliness, compassion and selflessness which characterises so many people and their actions right across the UK, Dan will deliver a much needed tonic for our challenging age.

The event takes place at 6:30pm GMT and includes access to a replay video available 48 hours after the event to enjoy forever with no time limit.

How To + Subscribers receive discounts to our live, on-stage events and free access to our livestreams and video library of 600+ videos. The first month is £9.99 + VAT, thereafter £17.50 + VAT a month.
