In the process, she’s become part of the zeitgeist – appearing on Oprah, walking arm-in-arm with the Dalai Lama, and even becoming an answer on Jeopardy!
But for all her success, she realised that by focusing so much on the mind, she was missing out on the physical experience of being human. She realised that if we don’t engage with our senses, time passes without us fully experiencing it. And so, she set out on a journey to get out of her head and into the world – from enhancing her appreciation of food and nature to sharpening her memory by learning to see more clearly.
