On Hygge, Home, and Happiness

When Meik Wiking introduced the world to the Danish art of Hygge in 2016 he gave us a revolutionary new way of nurturing happiness at home.

As the founder of the first think tank dedicated to the study of human happiness, CEO of the Happiness Museum, and the internationally bestselling author of The Little Book of Hygge and The Art of Making Memories, Meik Wiking is not simply an impartial researcher trying to understand the secrets of wellbeing, but a man dedicated to helping us all live fuller and richer lives.

He joins us live on stage in London to share fresh insights into making our homes into a sanctuary –somewhere to be ourselves, to unwind and create special memories.

No matter how much space you have or what your budget is, Meik shows how you can use colour, light and space to create your happy place and celebrate cosiness the Danish way.

He says: ‘We spend more time than anywhere else in our homes — but how they impact how we feel have remained relatively unexplored. But we shape our homes and then they shape us. They impact how we act and how we feel. As a Dane and a happiness researcher I am excited about exploring how to create homes where we not only live — but thrive.’

Don’t miss this rare chance to see the acclaimed author and researcher in-person and discover the secrets of cultivating a happy home.
