World-famous economist Yanis Varoufakis returns to the how to: Academy stage to discuss some of the most important questions that face humanity today. Drawing on (his) latest book Talking To My Daughter About the Economy, written as a personal letter to his daughter, Yanis will set out to explain what economics is and why it has the power to shape our lives.

Come and enjoy an evening with the former economics lecturer and ex-Greek finance minister as he answers his daughter’s deceptively simple questions, helping to make sense of a troubling world while inspiring us to make it a better one.

Pre-publication copies of Yanis’s book are included with every booking, meaning you’ll be the first to get your hands on a copy. There will also be the chance to ask your own burning questions about the economy during the audience Q&A.

This Talk is suitable for young people. For under 18s you can book using the Student Tickets without ID being required.
